The work consists of 548 pieces of nails, 9.2 km of thread of 50 kinds and colors, making up about 18 thousand connections. No painting techniques were used in the work.Dariusz Plutecki and Dagmara Świrska, a scientific mind and a humanist, together form the art duo Vistulart. Born in the '80s, they hail from the Opole region, and for the past dozen years have put down roots in Warsaw, where they live and work. In their creative work, the pair focuses on the little-known avant-garde technique of photorealistic, full-color string-art. Using proprietary methods and tools, they create unconventional works in which an image emerges from a tangle of several kilometers of threads. The artists work without using any painting techniques, nothing is painted under or on the threads themselves.
