Bartłomiej Kownacki was born in 1978 in Ostroda. In 2005 he graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, receiving his diploma in the studio of Prof. Krzysztof Wachowiak, and a year earlier from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. His main area of artistic activity is painting, but he also creates objects and films. He has won competitions and festivals, and his works have been presented in a total of dozens of solo and group exhibitions. More recently, he has been the leader of the rock band Canvas. He currently lives and works in Warsaw.
